I'm still crawling.. <br /><br />I went to Serasa beach today. Its busy. Lots of people. Lots of cars. Lots of them noisy bikers. Lots of young folks hanging about. Lots of families too. Its a nice atmosphere. We went to the end where theres a half decent beach area for kids to dip in.. a little cove with a nice sandy beach. Its nice. <br /><br />Yes Serasa Beach is good. It could be better though. Much much better. Lets see... rubbish and litter (where are the bins?), uncleared driftwood (lots and lots of them littering the beach), messy (empty) stalls left untended, the toilets (where are they??) , unending repair/construction work, the messy landscape, and on and on. I wonder who is supposed to look aftre and manage Serasa beach? Is there a management team? Anyone? And do they think its already perfect that it dont need cleaning up / looking after? Somebody in charge shoud visit that place more often and do someting about it. I think its time. New life, new job, new beginning, and a different me from who i was before. So yeah its time i deleted my past ramblings. And start some new ones. <br />I hold a pretty decent position in my office ( i think ) . Nothing special about that but it does give me an opportunity to do what i've always wanted to do... to make a difference. Maybe i can. Maybe i can't. But i can try. <br />Take the civil service. Ask any civil servant with an opinion (or perhaps ones who have only half an opinion) to make one comment about the civil service. What do they think about the Brunei civil service? Nine times out of ten, they will point out a weakness/problem/negative view. I tried this with many colleagues and they all tend to do that. Lets face it..lots of things not right with our civil service. Lots of good things too (must emphasize that!!) but somehow we tend to focus on the negative. But the one thing I've always wondered is why we (me included i suppose) havent been able to do anything about it??? We all know the problem, and most of the time we know the solution... but year in and year out, its still there. huh!!!?!! Funny kan? <br />But we can only try. And i think i have now found a boss ( a big one) who really cares and who really wants to make a difference too.. a real difference backed up by positive concrete actions and not just sayings and blah blah blah (we have too many of those..hahaha). I'm excited. And i'm happy. I'm looking forward to coming to work and doing what i want to do. <br />Anyway, another Sunday spent attending a wedding. They're getting younger and younger. And prettier!! Hahahaaa. I guess thats why. Oh and a cousin who got married just 5 years ago is now expecting her fourth child.
